Μεγάλη φωτιά ξέσπασε νωρίτερα στην Ίμβρο, σε περιοχή όπου υπάρχει πευκοδάσος. Ο δήμαρχος Ουνάλ Τσετίν δήλωσε πως πρόκειται για εμπρησμό και κάλεσε για βοήθεια.
Όπως είπε, η φωτιά άναψε σε τρία σημεία, σχεδόν ταυτόχρονα.
Στο σημείο πνέουν ισχυροί άνεμοι.
